You can work out even if you’re pregnant

Many women stop working out when they get pregnant, believing that it can be unhealthy for their child. That might be true in many cases: you really shouldn’t do anything that is too hard on your body. However, low-impact exercise can be great during your pregnancy, as it will help your body stay strong and healthy. In the end that will also benefit your child.

The best form of exercise for pregnant women is, in my opinion, yoga. Anyone can do it, and it’s very good for both body and mind. All you need is a pair of maternity yoga pants, a decent yoga mat and an instructional video. You can of course also choose to attend a yoga class if you’re not interested in doing it at home. If you live in a big city there are probably specialized yoga classes for pregnant women. In my opinion it’s better to do it at home though, as you can set your own pace and relax while you’re doing it.
